The Celestial Celebration

The time of year has once again come to celebrate those that still live and walk the lands of Gurn. It is a time of giving thanks and celebrating that precious gift of life that is so easily taken.

Late in the evening darkness settles over the land. It is almost like a cloak and it covers the all in a blanket. All the beings seem to be affected. You can see beings with eyes glowing of yellow and red slowing and settling down as the blanket of dark passes over them as they slump to the ground. The animals deep within their burrow fall into a deeper sleep as the blanket touches them. And even around Hope the people all sleep deep sleeps and a rest and a peace touches them even if for but a moment. The stars themselves seem to blink in rhythm and it is almost as if Gurn herself lets out her held breath of a long hard year….

The next morning when you awake, you step out into the bitter cold and smell the beginnings of a new day. Not only is it a new day but a new year and maybe a new beginning. You see the semi orange glow of a beautiful sunrise start to take hold over the lake and you draw in the bitter cold air and as its bite fills your lungs you are reminded at how alive you feel. It is a time to celebrate the upcoming year in merriment and mirth!

A waft of air reaches you with a smell of sulfur and you turn just in time as you see a fire elemental rifting in and it begins to try and burn everything in its path. You smile and remind yourself there will be plenty of time for celebrating, well that is if you can live to that point the celestial celebration comes with peace but also lots of elementals and massive waves of magic that seek to wash away all that is before them. With your gift and your food in hand you quickly sidestep the elemental and head toward the tavern full of people laughing and getting ready to survive the waves and elemental and enjoy the feast and the gift exchange. One more year in hope is about to begin. And you will stand up for civilization and not ever give up the hope of a better day and it all begins today. A new day indeed!

What will this Celebration hold this year? For one thing it will be a time of feasting and laughing and celebration! Come enjoy the revelry! Come join us celebrating one more year of hope! Come bring all your friends as this event you should never miss!

A couple of quick reminders about this event.

This is a feast event. We are having a food contest and everyone will be voting on peoples food that they have brought.



Food Rules:

If you bring food to share you will get Brownies for sharing (Please bring enough for a goodly amount of people as this is typically one of our biggest events of the year) we will reward you with a minimum of 250 brownies. Please make sure we serve it in an ingame fashion and it can be served with the feast! Everyone will be voting on their favorite foods and the winners will be given additional in game rewards.

1st place – 10 build and 2,000 brownies. Thanks for bringing such a lovely dish to share.

2nd place – 8 build and 1,750 brownies. It must have been real good to get so many votes!

3rd place – 6 build and 1,500 brownies. Mmm Mmm Good!

4th place – 4 Build and 1,000 brownies. Thank you!

5th place – 3 Build and 750 brownies. You will do better next year!

6th-10th place – 2 Build and 500 Brownies. Thanks for entering!


This is a Gift Exchange event!

All gifts must be wrapped!

Wrapped Gifts will be available from Monster Camp for $10. If you want one let us know ahead of time so we can make sure we have extras for the event!

It is going to be a great event! I look forward to seeing you all at the event!

My chances of going to the event has gone up a good amount and it's getting very close to the event. after talking to a few people who think the sign up sheet for time slots to cook is a good ideal. I would like to get this started. if you plan on cooking someting there either send me a message or post here. when you would like to start cooking and how long you will need. I will post a final sheet or send it up with someone incase things turn around and i can't go.
